Multi-Donor Fund for the Platform for Action on the Green Recovery of Ukraine

This fund sup­ports Ukraine’s recov­ery by focus­ing on clean­ing up and pro­tect­ing the envi­ron­ment. It helps gath­er impor­tant infor­ma­tion about the dam­age caused by the con­flict, sup­ports the safe removal of haz­ardous mate­ri­als, and pro­motes sus­tain­able rebuild­ing prac­tices. The fund works with local and inter­na­tion­al part­ners to devel­op green poli­cies, improve pub­lic admin­is­tra­tion, and sup­port eco-friend­ly projects. Its goal is to pro­tect human health, boost the econ­o­my, and ensure a green­er future for Ukraine. The fund’s meth­ods and suc­cess­es can also serve as a mod­el for oth­er coun­tries fac­ing sim­i­lar chal­lenges, fos­ter­ing inter­na­tion­al coop­er­a­tion and sus­tain­able devel­op­ment world­wide. The Plat­form aims also at sup­port­ing a new finan­cial con­sti­tu­tion which will enable faster and more effi­cient use of resources by IFIs and donors.

Introducing Unified Environmental Permits in Ukraine

On 27 May, the Round­table on Pre­ven­tion and Con­trol of Indus­tri­al Pol­lu­tion Reform: Intro­duc­tion of Uni­fied Envi­ron­men­tal Per­mits took place in Kyiv, joint­ly organ­ised with the Min­istry of Econ­o­my, Envi­ron­ment and Agri­cul­ture of Ukraine.
