Ecoclub announced the launch of the Adapterra UA 2026 competition

Project News

On 13 May, the NGO “Ecoclub”, a member of the PAABS consortium, announced the launch of Adapterra UA 2026 — an initiative aimed at identifying, supporting, and promoting practical climate change adaptation solutions in Ukraine.

Communities, organisations, teams, and initiatives that have implemented adaptation measures or developed methodological materials related to climate change adaptation are invited to apply for the competition.

The Adapterra UA competition was created to identify and share practices that are already working in Ukraine, increase the visibility of local initiatives, and inspire other communities to implement their own solutions.

Applications can be submitted in three categories depending on the type of institution and initiative:

— municipalities

— civic initiatives and organisations

— methodological materials

Applications are open from 13 May until 12 June. After that:

— an expert jury will select 9 finalists;

— an open online vote will take place;

— the winners of the competition will be announced.

The finalists will receive publication of their projects on the Adapterra UA platform and additional nationwide visibility for their initiatives. The winners will receive prize funding for further project development.

If you have already implemented climate adaptation solutions — share them with all of Ukraine. Projects that applied for last year’s competition may also apply again if new solutions, significant changes, or additions have been introduced since then.

To help applicants prepare their submissions, we invite you to watch the webinar explaining all details of the Adapterra UA 2026 competition:
