Up to €200,000 available in funding for local climate & biodiversity action

Local organ­i­sa­tions are encour­aged to apply for fund­ing for cli­mate and bio­di­ver­si­ty projects. Reg­is­tra­tion is now open until 15 Jan­u­ary 2026.

IKI Small Grants launched its 7th Inter­na­tion­al Call for Pro­pos­als on 17th Novem­ber at COP30 in Belém, Brazil. The call address­es local organ­i­sa­tions in ODA-eli­gi­ble coun­tries with an aver­age annu­al rev­enue between 60,000 and 500,000 euros. They are invit­ed to apply for fund­ing of local or region­al cli­mate and bio­di­ver­si­ty action projects. IKI Small Grants pro­vides fund­ing between 60,000 and 200,000 euros. As part of the Ger­man Fed­er­al Government’s Inter­na­tion­al Cli­mate Ini­tia­tive (IKI), the IKI Small Grants pro­gramme sup­ports projects and organ­i­sa­tions world­wide that tack­le cli­mate change, address local adap­ta­tion, and con­serve forests and bio­di­ver­si­ty. Besides financ­ing, organ­i­sa­tions receive sup­port in build­ing their role as strong actors through capac­i­ty devel­op­ment mea­sures.
