The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine is finalizing the development of scenarios for Ukraine’s climate commitment under the Paris Agreement – the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).
The updated NDC will outline Ukraine’s greenhouse gas emissions targets until 2035. In developing this document, Ukraine aims to ensure an open, inclusive process by engaging representatives from government, business, civil society, and the international community.
In this context, a hybrid event titled “Climate Policy of Ukraine: Ukraine’s NDC Amid Current Challenges” will take place on May 27, 2025.
Key agenda topics include:
— Presentation of Ukraine’s updated climate targets until 2035 and associated scenario modeling;
— The impact of the war on the economy, infrastructure, and environment, and the ways to address these challenges in the new NDC;
— Decarbonization strategies and financial mechanisms to support green recovery;
— Opportunities for government institutions, businesses, and civil society to contribute to the transformation.
Participation is open to representatives of ministries, business leaders, civil society organizations, youth initiatives, and international partners.
Advance registration is required. You can register via the following link: https://bit.ly/UkraineSecondNDC.
Please note that offline participation is limited and prioritized for the above-mentioned groups.
