New Steps taken towards the new «Renewables for Resilient Ukraine» Project

Project News

The project “Renewables for Ukraine“ aims for 16 Ukrainian communities to receive grants of 30k – 50k EUR to install solar power systems or heat pumps in public buildings: schools, hospitals, kindergartens etc.

This has been realized by a consortium of NGOs (Ecoclub, Ecodia, Energy Act For Ukraine Foundation, RePower Ukraine) in political partnership with the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Energy. Currently, the grant agreement with NGOs has been signed and a technical concept for the project has been developed.

On 15/11/23 the open call of applications from communities to participate in the project was started (deadline: 03/12/23).

It was followed by an online presentation with the Ministry of Infrastructure participation, which was attended by more than 700 communities.

After the communities’ and buildings’ selection (Jan 24), the feasibility studies and project documentation will be performed (Feb-May 24). Installation and commissioning of all the systems will be finished by Nov 24.
