The Ukraine Energy Support Fund (UESF) is intended to ensure that the Ukrainian energy system functions stably and efficiently during the Russian aggression. The International Climate Initiative (IKI) is contributing to the UESF through this project. It contributes to the implementation of decentralized renewable energy and possibly also energy efficiency solutions for social and public infrastructure, such as hospitals and schools, to improve the resilience and sustainability of the Ukrainian energy system. The aim is to restore electricity supply and promote energy independence through the use of renewable energy and potentially also heating solutions and by improving energy efficiency. The IKI contribution aims to integrate climate aspects into the long-term reconstruction of Ukraine and to align with broader environmental goals and European energy standards.
