Translating the Benefits of Green Investments into Actionable Steps for Ukraine

Events, Project News

The “Shades of Green” discussion on Ukraine’s green recovery, organized by the Ukrainian Climate Office, WWF Ukraine, and CEE on November 21st, highlighted the importance of green investments in Ukraine.

With around 50 participants from national and international climate policy stakeholders, the event aimed to translate the benefits of green investments into actionable steps for Ukraine. Sébastien Godinot, an Economist at the WWF European Policy Office, emphasized the strategic advantages of transitioning to a Green Economy in Ukraine, such as creating green job opportunities, restoring ecosystems, and contributing to EU accession. A briefing paper summarizing key messages and proposed actions is expected within the next month.
