Ukraine’s recovery offers a unique opportunity to drive a low-carbon transformation. As the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) expands and preparations for Article 6 implementation advance, carbon markets are becoming vital tools to mobilize finance for emission reduction projects and sustainable development.
This interactive panel will explore how Ukraine and its partners are turning this potential into action connecting VCM initiatives with Article 6 mechanisms to support green recovery and local resilience. The discussion will address practical approaches, including contribution-claim models and offsetting, and examine how carbon markets can complement policies such as the future Emissions Trading System (ETS).
Through case studies and international insights, speakers will showcase opportunities for cooperation, investment, and innovation that accelerate climate action and strengthen municipal capacity for a sustainable future.
